Teen Arrested With 'Swag Bag' Full Of iPads In L'Derry

A teenager with a 'swag bag' full of iPads and cameras has been arrested by police in L'Derry.

Officers were alerted following reports an alarm had been activated at the Holy Family Primary School at around 4am on Monday, 16 May.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for burglary and is currently being detained by the police.

The PSNI are appealing to anyone who seen any suspicious activity in the area to contact them.

Michael O'Loughlin was arrested in 2020 following the search of a property as part of Operation Venetic, a UK wide operation by the National Crime Agency (NCA) designed to "dismantle EncroChat".

Three In Hospital After Police Vehicle Collides With Another Vehicle
Two police officers and a civilian remain in hospital following a collision in Newry on Saturday, 13 April. It is understood that the police officers were travelling in a police vehicle to attend a separate incident at about 7.30pm when they collided with another vehicle on the Fathom Road.
