Five People Escape Injury After Shot Fired At House In West Belfast

Three men and two women have escaped injury after a shot was fired at a house in west Belfast.

The attack happened in the Colinbrook Avenue area shortly before 11pm on Thursday, 26 May.

The shot was aimed at the front door of the house.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Musgrave Police Station, using the non-emergency number 101.

Sinn Féin Councillor Stephen Magennis condemned the attack.

He said: "I condemn last night's shooting incident in Colinbrook. It was reckless and could have resulted in injury or loss of life. Five people were in the house at the time it was targeted.

"There is no place for weapons on our streets and those who bring guns onto the streets are irresponsible and should stop these dangerous attacks immediately."
