Heavy And Thundery Showers Expected Across NI

Heavy and thundery showers are expected across Northern Ireland today, 07 June, according to the Met Office.

A yellow rather warning has been issued from 1pm to 9pm.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees, however this will drop throughout the day.

Showers are to die out later on and it is to be a bright evening.

On Wednesday, sunny spells will develop in the afternoon and it is to remain mostly dry.

Yellow Weather Warning For Heavy Rain Issued In NI
A yellow weather warning has been issued for heavy rain and thundery showers across Northern Ireland. The alert has been put in place from 2pm today, 22 August, until 10pm tonight. The Met Office said heavy thundery showers are expected to develop and may cause isolated flooding in some areas.

Further Weather Warning For NI Issued
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for most of Northern Ireland. The warning was published shortly after 10am on Wednesday morning (8 October) and lasts until 9pm. Counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Londonderry and Tyrone are all affected.

Met Office Issues Warning For Heavy Rain And Thunder
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across Northern Ireland. The alert is in place from 3pm today, 21 July, until midnight. Counties Fermanagh, L'Derry and Tyrone are expected to be the worst effected. The Met Office said heavy showers will occur across western counties and there may also be thunder.

Northern Ireland's senior women's football team have been congratulated for their win against Montenegro at Windsor Park, by the First and deputy First Ministers. The 1-1 draw secured a 3-1 aggregate play-off victory to ensure the team retained League B status in the competition.
