NI Drug Dealer On The Run Arrested In Spain

A convicted drug dealer from Northern Ireland, who has been on the run for over a year, has been arrested in Spain.

41-year-old Mark Dunford, originally from Co Waterford but with an address in Coleraine, admitted supplying amphetamines but failed to appear in court for his sentencing in February last year.

He is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court today, 06 July.

Police officers seized almost £900,000 worth of drugs in September 2012.

Detective Inspector Tom McClure, from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch, said: "Mark Dunford was arrested in Spain on Saturday 25th June as a result of our continued enquiries and assistance from colleagues in the National Crime Agency and Spanish police."

Two Men Convicted In Paramilitary Crime Task Force Investigation
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two men at Laganside Crown Court for a number of offences, following a major investigation into the activities of the east Belfast UVF. James McGrogan, aged 37, and 32-year-old Christopher Cullen were both convicted on Thursday 18th April, for a number of drug-related offences.
