Bomb Found In Co Antrim

A bomb has been found in Co Antrim.

It is believed the device was discovered at a house on the outskirts of Carnlough on Tuesday, 12 July.

Army bomb experts removed the device for forensic examination.

Drumalla Park and the Bay Road have been reopened and the alert has ended.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson condemned those responsible.

He said: "This device caused significant disruption for the local community and I must commend all those who acted quickly to help those who had to be moved from their homes during the alert.

"While this device might have caused disruption at the time, those behind it will not succeed in dragging our community back to the past."
