Trade Mission To Shanghai And Hong Kong, 7-11 Nov 2016
Invest NI has announced a new multi-sectoral manufacturing trade mission to Shanghai and Hong Kong from 07 – 11 November, 2016.
Businesses are invited to join the mission and take advantage of potential business opportunities in the region. The mission is open to any business hoping to develop their exports to the region.
Encouraging companies to consider participating in the trade mission, Invest NI said that "China is the great economic success story of the past 30 years".
China is currently the world's second largest economy and the most populous country with over 1.35 billion citizens. Chinese businesses and consumers are developing an appetite for technology, systems, services and infrastructure that cannot be satisfied by domestic suppliers.
Hong Kong is ranked fifth in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business index and has been ranked as the world's freest economy in the Index of Economic Freedom for 20 consecutive years. It presents fewer challenges for Northern Ireland companies than most overseas markets, and is a recognised springboard to the market in China. The economy was boosted by 61 million visitors in 2014.

North-South Ministers Target Infrastructure
A delegation of Irish ministers met in Dublin this week to discuss further cross-border cooperation on infrastructural projects. Stormont Roads Minister Conor Murphy, along with NI Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster, held talks with the Republic's counterpart Tánaiste Mary Coughlan at Dublin Castle on Wednesday.
