Two Dead In Co Antrim Road Crash

Two women have died after a crash in Co Antrim this morning, 25 July.

It happened on the Church Road in Randalstown.

The road remains closed and emergency services are at the scene.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and to seek an alternative route.

DUP MLA Trevor Clarke tweeted: "It is with great sadness, that two individuals have lost their lives following this morning's accident on Church Road, Randalstown."

Sinn Féin MLA Declan Kearney said: "The deaths of two women on the Church Road outside Randalstown early this morning have caused a deep sense of shock and sadness in the local area.

"Any death on our roads is one death too many.

"I send my condolences to the family and friends of the two women at this sad and difficult time.

"I also hope that the others who were injured in this incident make a full recovery."

Man Dies In Workplace Accident In Co Armagh
A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
