Drugs Worth £80,000 Seized In Co Tyrone

Police have seized drugs worth an estimated £80,000 in Omagh, Co Tyrone.

Herbal cannabis, diazepam tablets and a significant amount of cash were also uncovered during a house search on Wednesday, 24 August.

A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the seizures.

Inspector Scott Fallis said: "This is a very significant seizure of drugs in the Omagh area, and one which must be welcomed. Selling drugs, regardless of what they are, within our community, and in many cases to our young people, is repugnant.

"Many young lives are destroyed by drug dealers preying on their vulnerabilities. Life-long dreams and aspirations disappear as dealers get people hooked on these substances, while they the dealers line their pockets with cash."
