Quesnele To Join Belfast Giants For 2016/17 Elite League Season

Michael Quesnele is to join the Belfast Giants for the 2016/17 Elite League season.

The Canadian holds Italian Citizenship and takes the Giants final EU spot on the lineup.

He spent the 2015/16 season with the Coventry Blaze, where Quesnele posted nine goals and 16 assists, good for 25 points in 60 games played. Quesnele claimed the Blaze's Annual Contribution to the Community Award, helped the team to a place in the 2016 Playoff Grand Final, before losing out to the Nottingham Panthers.

Quesnele will make his Giants debut on Saturday, 10 September, against the Fife Flyers at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

One Direction Concerts To Go Ahead
One Direction's concerts at the SSE Arena are to go ahead. The band has rescheduled its concert that was cancelled on Tuesday night to Friday, 23 October. Aiken Promotions issued a statement which reads: "Once again we apologise for the cancellation of last night’s One Direction show.
