Irish Govt To Investigate Northern Ireland NAMA Sale
The Irish Government is to discuss plans to carry out an investigation into the sale of NAMA's Northern Ireland property portfolio.
The Irish state asset agency sold the property loan portfolio to a US investment fund for £1.2billion in 2014.
A number of allegations have been made since the sale.
The Irish Government confirmed the Public Accounts Committee would examine a Comptroller and Auditor General report before a formal inquiry is launched.
Sinn Féin MLA Máirtín Ó Muilleoir said he will co-operate with the investigation.
He said: "I have written to the Irish government's Finance Minister Michael Noonan telling him that I'm looking forward to receiving a copy of the report from the Comptroller and Auditor General into the NAMA sale.
"In the letter I have reiterated that my department will co-operate and work with the investigation.
"This is a matter of huge importance north and south and it is vital that we get to the bottom of the events concerning Project Eagle."
Alliance MLA Stephen Farry said: "This is a welcome move to help establish what went on throughout this process.
"However, there is a need for discussions to be held on a cross-border basis on this matter in order that the best way to integrate the several ongoing investigations is found, and time given to explore the possibility of a single, overarching inquiry. The border cannot be allowed to prevent a full investigation into all allegations."

Man Arrested In Connection With Sean Fox Murder Investigation

Investigation Launches After Masked Men Break Into House In East Belfast
The PSNI have launched an investigation after masked men broke into a house in east Belfast while a woman was inside. The incident occurred in the Manna Grove area at around 7pm on Wednesday, 17 January. Three masked men entered the property through a smashed back door and searched the house while the woman was upstairs.

Two Men Convicted In Paramilitary Crime Task Force Investigation
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two men at Laganside Crown Court for a number of offences, following a major investigation into the activities of the east Belfast UVF. James McGrogan, aged 37, and 32-year-old Christopher Cullen were both convicted on Thursday 18th April, for a number of drug-related offences.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a petrol bomb incident in the Queen Street area of Ballymena. Shortly before 10.15pm on Monday, March 4, it was reported that two petrol bombs were thrown through the living room window of a house in the area. Neither of the petrol bombs ignited.
