Man Arrested Following Major Cannabis Find In Portadown

A 46-year-old man has been arrested following a major cannabis find in Portadown, Co Armagh.

Police searched premises in the Annagh Industrial Estate on the Tandragee Road on Wednesday, 05 October, and uncovered a large quantity of cannabis.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, possession of a class B drug and possession with intent to supply.

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: "We are delighted to have closed this substantial cannabis factory down and removed these plants from circulation.

"I would appeal to anyone who has any information about illegal drugs to contact police by calling 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

A 22-year-old man has been charged after £16,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized in L'Derry. The discovery was made after police searched a house in the Waterside area on Friday, 22 September. The suspect has been accused of growing cannabis, possession of a Class B drug and intent to supply.

Two Men Arrested Following Cannabis Find In Cookstown
Two men have been arrested following a suspected cannabis find, worth an estimated street value of £200,000, in Cookstown. Police discovered the cannabis factory at a house in the Keenaghan Road area on Tuesday. A quantity of herbal cannabis and a number of suspected cannabis plants in various stages of growth were seized.
