Woman And Children Left Badly Shaken Following Aggravated Burglary

A woman and her three children have been left very badly shaken following an aggravated burglary in Downpatrick.

The incident happened at a house on the Ribadoo Road near Ballyward at around 7.30pm on Monday, 10 October.

Three men, two with suspected firearms and a hammer, threatened the woman and demanded money.

They ransacked the house and then locked the family members in the bathroom before making off in their grey Audi A4 car.

Two of the men are described as being around 6ft tall, of slim build. The third man was around 5ft 8inches tall and of stocky build. The three men wore masks, gloves and hi-vis tops.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
