Man In Hospital After Paramilitary Style Attack In West Belfast
A 56-year-old man is being treated in hospital following a paramilitary style attack in west Belfast.
The victim was shot several times in the leg in the Glenwood Drive area of Poleglass on Sunday, 16 October.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Sinn Féin MLA for West Belfast, Jennifer McCann, said:
Speaking today Ms McCann said: "This shooting of a man in Poleglass was wrong and I condemn it.
"There is no place for these type of actions in our society.
"I've said for a long time now there is no place in society for the armed gangs behind these attacks.
"The message needs to be heard loud and clear in the community that these groups need to halt these attacks immediately."

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The incident happened in the Summerhill Road area of Dunmurry shortly after 10.25pm on Wednesday, 14 April. Inspector McCullough said: "While our enquiries are at an early stage, this shooting bears the hallmarks of a paramilitary style assault.

A man has been shot in both of his legs in a paramilitary style attack in west Belfast. The incident occurred in the Lady Street area on Tuesday night. Two men made off on foot in the direction of McDonnell Street, according to the police.
