Uninsured Driver Arrested After Police Pursuit In North Belfast

A 25-year-old man has been arrested for a number of road traffic and drugs offences following a police pursuit in north Belfast on Tuesday, 22 November.

PSNI officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the New Lodge area after they suspected the driver was uninsured.

However, the driver sped through a red light and sparked a police chase.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A pursuit commenced through the New Lodge area and the vehicle was eventually stopped in the area of Carlisle Road."

The car has been removed and will be crushed.

The suspect has been charged and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
