Family Escape Injury After Shot Fired At House In Craigavon

A family have escaped injury after a shot was fired at their home in Craigavon, Co Armagh.

The incident happened at a house in the Lakeview Court area shortly after 10pm on Wednesday, 30 November.

The shot was fired through the kitchen window of the property.

Ulster Unionist Doug Beattie MC MLA expressed serious concern.

He said: "A family home, with children upstairs in bed, was attacked in the hours of darkness.

"We again are seeing the use of firearms on the streets of Craigavon, and we could well have been facing a fatality here this morning.

"I would encourage anyone with any information to contact the PSNI by phoning 101.

"We cannot allow this behaviour to prevail in our society, in Craigavon or indeed anywhere else."
