PSNI's Will Kerr To Join National Crime Agency

The Assistant Chief Constable of the PSNI has been appointed the new Director of the National Crime Agency's (NCA) Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command.

Mr Will Kerr replaces Johnny Gwynne, who joined Police Scotland in September 2016 on promotion to Deputy Chief Constable.

NCA Director General Lynne Owens said: "Will was an exceptional candidate and I am delighted to welcome him to the National Crime Agency. Under Johnny Gwynne's leadership the NCA's CEOP Command delivered significant change, working in partnership with others, which transformed the UK’s collaborative approach to investigating child sexual abuse and protecting children.

"This is a complex and constantly evolving challenge and there is a lot still to do. I feel very confident to have Will in the driving seat."
