PSNI Seize Drugs Worth £100,000 Destined For NI

The PSNI have seized £100,000 worth of cannabis destined for Northern Ireland.

The parcel, which was in the post, was intercepted in England on Saturday, 07 January.

No arrests have been made, however a search has been carried out in the Greater Belfast area and further searches are planned, according to the police.

Detective Inspector McAuley said: "This has taken a substantial amount of drugs out of circulation and reduced the harm they cause to communities. Seizures such as this demonstrate our ongoing commitment to tackling the scourge of drugs in our society.

"I would encourage anyone who has any information about the use or supply of illegal drugs to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 with any information they have."
