Warning Issued After Teenager Found Collapsed In West Belfast

The PSNI have issued a warning to parents to know where their children are after a teenage girl was found collapsed in a park in west Belfast after consuming too much alcohol.

The 16-year-old was discovered lying on wet grass in Lenadoon Park and required urgent medical attention.

The girl was treated and an ambulance has to be taken off the ground for hours while it was cleaned of vomit.

The female suffered "no lasting damage", according to the police.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "We take anti-social behaviour seriously because it spoils the area for everyone and it puts young lives in danger. If you are a parent make sure you know where your kids are tonight. If you think that this behaviour is somehow OK then please wake up to the harm this is doing to your community and to your kids."
