Westlink Collision Causes Major Delays Across Belfast

There are ongoing, severe delays in Belfast following a two-car collision on the Westlink earlier this morning, 01 March.

According to reports the collision, which occurred shortly before 8.30am, involved a car and a lorry and blocked the outside lane of the Westlink heading country bound towards the M1, just before Divis Street off-slip.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The collision has caused major delays in the city, with knock on delays expected to continue once the scene has been cleared.

Westlink Collision Causing Long Delays
Motorists are being urged to expect long delays following a four vehicle crash on the Westlink in Belfast. The collision between the Clifton Street onslip and York Street has been cleared, however long delays remain towards the M2. The crash happened just after 9.20am on Friday, 18 November. No-one is believed to have been seriously injured.

Three People Injured In Crash On Westlink
Three people are receiving hospital treatment following a six-vehicle collision on the Westlink in Belfast. The crash, which involved two lorries and four other vehicles, occurred at around 4am on Wednesday. The Westlink was closed , however the vehicles have been removed and it has been reopened.

Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with an attempted burglary in east Belfast on Monday, 11 March. PSNI officers responded to a report of an attempted break in and criminal damage at a property in the Upper Newtownards Road area.
