Pensioner Left 'Very Shaken' Following Burglary In L'Derry

A pensioner has been left "very shaken" after being threatened with a screwdriver during an aggravated burglary in L'Derry.

The incident happened at a house in the Maple Road area, Coshquin, between 10pm and 10,30pm on Friday, 12 May, however the victim was unable to raise the alarm until Saturday morning.

A man and woman wearing balaclavas forced the 85-year-old man into the bathroom and the woman held him there while the man searched the house.

They pulled the telephone cable and fled with a sum of cash.

The victim was not physically hurt.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
