Drop In Number Of People Claiming Unemployment Benefits
The number of people claiming unemployment benefits has dropped over the past month.
According to the latest labour market statistics, 31,500 people claimed in April, 200 less than in March.
The figures also showed a 5.3% unemployment rate for the past three months.

Employee jobs also increased over the quarter to December 2016 by 0.2%. Manufacturing output also rose in the last quarter of 2016, a rise of 4.
