Appeal After Man Attacked In Coleraine

Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Coleraine on Sunday, 04 June.

A gang of around eight men, believed to be armed with metal bars and bats, assaulted the 28-year-old victim in the Heights area at around 2am.

A 30-year-old was arrested, however, he has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this crime or anyone with information that could assist the investigation.

"They can be reached by calling 101, quoting reference number 240 04/06/17. Information can also be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
