Three Arrested Under Terrorism Act Following Belfast Searches
Police have arrested three men under the Terrorism Act following search operations carried out in north and west Belfast.
The men, aged 45, 46 and 54, were detained in connection with two separate paramilitary-style shooting in June and July.
A "large quantity of cash", mobile phones and other items where also seized during the operation.
Police said that the men were arrested in connection with shootings which occurred in the Jamaica Street area of North Belfast on the evening of Sunday 25th June and the Henry Place area of Belfast on Saturday, 22 July.
The men are being held Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Six Arrested In Dissident Investigation
Six people have been arrested by detectives investigating dissident republican activity. The arrests were made on Tuesday in the Dunmurry and west Belfast area following a number of searches. Police said five men, aged between 31 and 58, and a 32-year-old woman had been arrested.

Police foil attempted kidnapping and robbery
Two men have been arrested following an attempted kidnapping and robbery in north Belfast earlier today. A quantity of cash was recovered by officers during the operation to foil the kidnap and robbery plot, which was launched by police last night. No one was injured during the incident. There are no further details.

Two Arrested In Connection With West Belfast Stabbing
A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with a serious stabbing incident in west Belfast in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, 10 April. Just after 2.45am, police received a report from our colleagues in northern Ireland Ambulance Service that a man had been stabbed in the St Bernadette's Avenue area.

Seven Released Over Lorraine McCausland Murder
Seven men arrested in connection with the rape and murder of Lorraine McCausland have been released. Ms McCausland, 23, was discovered dead beside a stream in the Forthriver area of north Belfast on 08 March, 1987. A file will be submitted to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
