Woman Arrested Over Thefts Across NI

A woman has been arrested as part of a PSNI investigation into thefts across Northern Ireland.

The 45-year-old suspect was detained in the Aughnacloy area on Thursday, 21 September.

Appeal Issued For Missing Man Matthew Morrison
Police have issued an appeal for information to help trace a missing 22-year-old man. Matthew Morrison was last seen in the Fairview area near Mossley, Newtownabbey, at around midnight. He is described as being around 5ft 9inches tall, of medium build with dark brown hair.

Man Attacked In Co L'Derry
A man, aged in his 30s, has been injured after being attacked in Dungiven, Co L'Derry. The assault happened in the Main Street area in the early hours of Sunday morning, 15 October. An 18-year-old has been arrested and has been detained in police custody. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Woman Stabbed In South Belfast
A woman, aged in her 20s, has been stabbed in south Belfast. The incident happened in the Balfour Avenue area at around 12.45pm on Sunday, 15 October. The victim had to be treated in hospital, however she has since been released. Police are treating the attack as attempted murder and a 28-year-old man has been arrested.

Paramedic Attacked In Co Tyrone
A 20-year-old woman has been charged after a female paramedic was attacked twice during a callout in Co Tyrone. She was punched and bitten by a patient in the Fairview Gardens area of Dromore on Tuesday, 10 October. The paramedic tried to get away from the scene however she was assaulted a second time and sustained a head injury.

Four People Arrested After Drugs Found In Co Fermanagh
Four people have been arrested following a drugs search at a property in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. Three men, aged 19, 24 and 27 and a 22-year-old-woman were detained after police discovered Class A drugs during the search of a house in the Ashdale area.

Rocket Launcher Discovered In Co Antrim
The PSNI have launched an investigation after a rocket launcher and other terrorist related items were discovered in Dundrod, Co Antrim. Detectives received reports of a suspicious object in the Budore Road area at around 5.30pm on Sunday, 08 October.

Man Found Injured In Donaghadee
Police have launched an investigation after a man was found injured on a street in Co Down. He is in a critical condition in hospital after he was discovered on the footpath at High Street in Donaghadee at around 2.30am on Sunday, 24 September. He was found by police patrolling the area and he was taken to hospital.

Man Arrested Over Fatal Assault In L'Derry
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was fatally attacked in Co L'Derry. Jordon McConomy, 19, was killed after he was assaulted in the William Street area at around 2.15am on Sunday, 24 September. The suspect is being held at Strand Road Police Station.

Murder Investigation Launched In Larne
Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man;s body in Larne. The body of Laurence Shaw was found at around 1.30pm on Monday, 09 October, in the Hillmount Gardens area in the Seacourt estate. A 39-year-old man was arrested during the early hours of tuesday morning, 10 October, on suspicion of attempted murder.

Investigation Launched Following Sudden Death In Larne
Police have launched an investigation following the sudden death of a man in Larne. The man's body was discovered at around 1.30pm on Monday, 09 October, in the Hillmount Gardens area in the Seacourt estate. A post-mortem is to be carried out to determine the cause of death. Police are investigating claims that his throat was cut.

Two Men Released Over Threats To Catholic Families
Two men have been released from police custody after they were arrested under the Terroism Act. The men, aged 37 and 40, were detained on suspicion of being members of a banned organisation, namely the UVF.

PSNI Dog Catches Convicted Killer
A PSNI dog caught a convicted murderer who escaped from custody in Coleraine. The prisoner was receiving hospital treatment at Causeway Hospital on Sunday, 24 September, when he made off. He is currently serving a life sentence for murder. A PSNI spokesperson praised PD Rex. He said: "Officers, including air support and PD Rex commenced searching.

A third man has been charged with attempted murder after a house was attacked in Larne. Shots were fired at the property in the Brustin Brae Road area and a car was set alight outside on Monday, 11 September.

Brexit Negotiator To Meet With Taoiseach In Dublin
The European Parliament's Brexit negotiator is to meet the Taoiseach in Dublin today, 21 September. Guy Verhofstadt met with NI political parties at Stormont on Wednesday, 20 September, and said that NI could remain in the customs union, however the UK Government must find a solution for the Irish border.

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.
