Man Charged With Murder Of Colin Horner

A man has been charged with the murder of Colin Horner.

Mr Horner, aged 35, was shot dead in a supermarket car park in Bangor in front of his son on 28 May.

A 34-year-old was arrested in the Newtownards area on Wednesday, 04 October, as part of the investigation.

He has been charged with murder and also faces a charge of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates' Court today, Friday, 06 October.

Man Arrested For Withholding Information Over Coalisland Murder
A man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a Lithuanian national in Co Tyrone in October. The body of Gedimaus Satuskas, 32, was found in a garage in the Moor Road area in Coalisland on 15 October. The 28-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday by detectives from the Serious Crime Branch.

Two men appear in court charged with attempted murder
Two men have appeared in court today charged with the attempted murder after a taxi driver in Co Down last weekend. The driver was shot in his vehicle after dropping off a fare in the Westwinds estate of Newtownards at around 12 midnight on Saturday. He sustained a number of gunshot wounds to his chest.

A 47-year-old unemployed builder has been charged with the murder of a man in Co Down early this year. James Clarke, of Stirling Avenue in Newtownards, was remanded in custody on Friday after being charged with the murder of Andrew Cully in Newtownards in March.

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.

A 27-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after two police officers were attacked with pipe bombs in north Belfast. The woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of explosives with intent to endanger life and preparation of terrorist acts.

Two Charged In Connection With Tang Murder
Two women have been charged in connection with the murder of Chinese business man Simon Tang. The pair, aged 33 and 34, have been charged with perverting the course of justice. They are due in court next month. The victim, 28-year-old Mr Tang, was beaten and robbed as he left his takeaway business on 24 June 1996.

Couple Charged With Mackin Murder
A married couple have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man in Belfast last week. Charles Stephen Valliday, 40, and Julie-Ann Valliday, 35, of Powerscourt Place, Belfast, are accused of killing Christopher Mackin last Thursday. The 31-year-old victim was shot four times at College Square North in the city.
