Warning Issued Over Suspicious Object In North Belfast

The PSNI have issued a warning to the public not to touch any suspicious objects in north Belfast.

It follows reports that a pipe-bomb type device was left at the junction of Glenrosa Link and Upper Canning Street.

Extensive searches have been carried out, however nothing has been found.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Suspicious Object Found In Co Antrim Declared A Hoax
A suspicious object found in Co Antrim has been declared a hoax. The discovery was made in the Cushendall Road area in Ballymena on Tuesday, 18 July. Police and Army bomb disposal experts attended the scene and the object caws declared a hoax. The area was sealed off, however it has since been reopened.

Suspicious Object Found In West Belfast
A road in west Belfast has been closed following the discovery of a suspicious object. The Springfield Road has been closed and diversions have been put in place at the junction of Springfield Road, West Circular Road and Pollard Street. The PSNI are currently at the scene. No further details have been released.

Suspicious Object Found In East Belfast
A suspicious object has been found in east Belfast. Police and army bomb experts are at the scene. The Sydenham Road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area. No further details have been released.

North Belfast Suspicious Object Declared A Hoax
A number of homes in north Belfast were evacuated on Tuesday night following the discovery of a suspicious object. Residents in the Glendore Avenue area were asked to leave their homes last night following the discovery of the device on a footpath.
