Man Charged Over Bomb Hoax at Primary School In Ballymena

A man has been charged after a bomb hoax at a primary school in Ballymena.

An investigation was launched after Harryville Primary School on Casement Street received a bomb warning on Tuesday, 10 October.

A search was carried out at the school.

A 60-year-old man was arrested and charged with "communicating false information causing bomb hoax".

He is to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 11 October.

All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Man And Woman Jailed For 'Brutal And Senseless Attack'
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two people at Laganside Crown Court for a range of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, threats to kill, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon. 26-year-old Dylan Black, from the Lisburn area, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He will serve three years on license.

Police Investigating Man's Death Following Ballynahinch Collision
The PSNI have launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of an elderly man following a collision in Ballynahinch. It it understood that police were called at approximately 4.10pm on Monday 08 April, to reports of the "sudden death"of an elderly man at a quarry in the Newcastle Road area of Seaforde.

Man And Boys Seriously Injured In Enniskillen Crash
A man and three boys have been seriously injured in a one vehicle crash in County Fermanagh, according to the PSNI. The collision involving a white Mitsubishi L200 Titan happened on the A32 Mossfield Road, Enniskillen, at 11.15am on Sunday 31 March.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.
