Man Attacked In L'Derry

A man has sustained serious head injuries after being attacked by a gang of men in Co L'Derry.

The PSNI received reports of a fight in the Newmarket Street area just after 2am on Sunday, 22 October.

The man is being treated in hospital.

A police spokesperson said: "Anyone with information regarding the assault is asked to contact the Strand Road Station on 101, quoting reference 209 on the 22/10/2017.

The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Images Released After Man Attacked In South Belfast
A 36-year-old man has been attacked in south Belfast. The incident occurred at an off-licence in the Ormeau Road area at around 7.45pm on Saturday 30 May. Police said they will be releasing images after the man was assaulted by three males. The victim required hospital treatment, however his injuries were not life-threatening.

Man And Woman Attacked In Co L'Derry
Four masked men, armed with baseball bats and a sledgehammer, have attacked a man and a woman in Co L'Derry. The assault happened in the Oakvale Terrace area of Maghera at around 1.10am on Wednesday. The victims, aged 24 and 21, received hospital treatment, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police in Belfast are appealing to the public for information to try and identify the man pictured. The man is believed to have been involved in a serious attack which happened outside licensed premises in the Bank Square area at around 10pm on 16 January.

Man Shot In Co Tyrone
A man has been arrested following a shooting incident on Cookstown, Co Tyrone. A 33-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being shot in his foot in the Queens Avenue area shortly after 3.25am on Saturday. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police recovered a firearm and a 57-year-old man remains in custody.

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in east Belfast. The incident happened in the Templemore Avenue area in the early hours of Sunday. The 32-year-old victim was assaulted by another man shortly before 2.30am.

Armed Man Robs Takeaway In Larne
Police have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a takeaway in Co Antrim. The incident happened at premises on the Upper Cairncastle Road in Larne at around 1.30pm on Wednesday. A man, armed with a suspected gun, entered the shop and made off with a sum of cash.

Police have released a photograph of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in south Belfast. They believe he may be able to help them with their enquiries after a man attempted to take a 30-year-old man's phone in Adelaide Street on 23 August.

Man Stabbed In North Belfast
A 28-year-old man has been stabbed in north Belfast. The incident happened in the Strathroy Park area at around 6.15pm on Wednesday. Four hooded men stabbed the victim in the arm at the front door of his home. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 49-year-old man arrested in connection with a shooting in north Belfast has been released unconditionally. The incident happened in the Cranbrook Gardens area just after 9pm on Friday. The 30-year-old male victim is currently in a stable condition in hospital.

A man has been shot in the leg in north Belfast. The incident happened in the Butler Walk area at around 10pm on Tuesday. The victim went to answer a knock at the door and before opening it he heard a loud bang and realised he had been shot in the leg. He received hospital treatment, however his injuries are not believed to be lift threatening.

Police Appeal Over Attempted Armed Robbery In Ballymena
Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The incident occurred at a shop in the Larne Road area just after 7.40pm on Wednesday. A masked man armed with a knife demanded a staff member to open the till. However, the employee threw water over him and he made off empty handed.
