Man Attacked In Co L'Derry

A man, aged in his 40s, has been seriously injured following an attack in Co L'Derry.

The assault happened on the Garvagh Road in Dungiven in the early hours of Sunday, 12 November.

The man sustained severe head injuries and is being treated in hospital.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm.

He has been detained in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Gary Moore said: "I believe that there were a number of people in the area at the time of this incident and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist our investigation into this serious assault which has left a man in hospital with very serious head injuries to contact detectives in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference number 49 12/11/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Three Men Arrested After Man Seriously Attacked In Co Antrim
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was seriously attacked in Toomebridge, Co Antrim. The assault happened outside licensed premises on the Hillhead Road at around 2am on Sunday. The man sustained a serious head injury and is in a critical condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
