Residents Evacuated During Ongoing Security Alert In L'Derry
Residents have been evacuated from their homes during an ongoing security alert in Co L'Derry.
The Rossdowney Road is currently closed at Montgomery Close.
SDLP Councillor Martin Reilly said the alert is causing "significant disruption" for residents in the area.
He said: "Those responsible for this alert have disrupted residents, families and the local community. This is an arterial routes in this part of the city.
"I would urge anyone with information to get in touch with the police or with Crimestoppers. We need to take back our communities from these people. That can only be done if local people volunteer information."

Suspicious Object Sparks L'Derry Security Alert
Families have been evacuated from their L'Derry homes amid reports of a suspicious device in the area. A police operation in the vicinity of Clon Elagh, just off the Skeoge Road, was sparked this afternoon, Monday 15 April, after an object was discovered. Local residents have been asked to evacuate the area as a precaution. Police are at the scene.

Security Alert In L'Derry Ends
Residents have returned to their homes after a security alert in L'Derry was declared a hoax. A suspicious object was discovered in the Farm Hill area on Friday, 10 February. Police and army bomb disposal experts attended the scene and declared it a hoax. The area has been re-opened.
