Hospital Vehicles Attacked In Belfast

Police have launched an investigation after a number of hospital transport vehicles were damaged at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Eight vehicles were broken into and the windows were smashed overnight.

Around £4,500 worth of damage was caused.

Inspector Roy Burnside said: "Police at Tennent Street would appeal to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity at the car park last night, or who has information which could assist police with their enquiries, to contact 101 quoting reference number 58 of 20/11/17.


"Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. Appeal For Information On 'Nasty' Robbery In Omagh
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a "nasty" robbery in Omagh. Police received a report, that at around 1.30am on Monday, 19th February a man aged in his in his 40s was cycling in the Cranny Road area of the town, alongside the river, when he was set upon by a group of six people, dressed in dark clothing with hoods up.

Police Vehicles Damaged During Clash
Three police vehicles have been damaged during violent clashes between rival gangs in east Belfast. Police were called to the Newtownards Road and Albert Bridge Road interface with nationalist Short Strand on Sunday following reports of disturbances.

Police vehicles damaged in petrol bomb attack
A number of police vehicles have been damaged in a petrol bomb attack in Londonderry last night. Police were called to the scene, after a disturbance was reported in the Society Street and Fahan Street area at around 7.30pm last night. A number of youths were seen throwing petrol bombs and stones close to Memorial Hall.
