Man Charged With Attempted Murder In East Belfast

A 47-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in east Belfast.

The incident happened at a house in the Lendrick Street area at around 8.30am on Sunday, 26 November.

The man, who was arrested in the property, was charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' court today, 27 November.

A man was taken to hospital, however his condition is not believed to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder

The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Arrest Over Attempted Murder
Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on the Limestone Road in north Belfast on Friday night. A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the attack, in which a number of people are believed to have been involved.
