Man Shot In Both Legs In West Belfast
A man has been shot in both legs in west Belfast.
The victim was found in an alleyway in the Iris Court area at around 8.40pm on Wednesday, 29 November.
He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
SDLP Vice Chair Gerard McDonald condemned the attack.
He said: "This is a quiet neighbourhood and those who violated that peace by viciously shooting a man in the legs are thugs who must face justice.
"The only way we can stop these people standing on the neck of our community is if people bring information forward to the police.
"If anyone saw anything suspicious last night or has any information relating to this attack, I would appeal to them to bring it forward as soon as possible."

Appeal For Information On Newtownards Assault
Police in Newtownards have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in the town on Sunday 02 January. According to police, a man aged in his 20s, was attacked by up to four men armed with "poles" in an alleyway close to Glenbrook Road at about 19:45. The victim suffered injuries to his head, legs, arms and hands.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Dundonald. At about 8.30pm last night, a man was shot in both legs in the Kilberry Park area of the Ballybeen estate. The man remains in hospital. According to reports, the incident has been described as a "scandalous and barbaric attack" by DUP MLA Robin Newton.
