Investigation Launched After Nine Kegs Of Beer Stolen In Co Armagh

Police have launched an investigation after nine full kegs of beer were stolen from a pub in Co Armagh.

The kegs were taken from The Old Dyke Inn in Poyntzpass between 2.30pm on Monday, 27 November, and 9pm on Tuesday, 28 November.

A suitably sized vehicle would have been needed to remove the kegs, according to the PSNI.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "If you saw any activity around the Inn during this time please call 101 quoting reference 1361 of the 28/11/17."

Police have renewed their appeal for information over the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr. Constable Kerr, aged 25, was killed by a booby-trap car bomb in Omagh on 02 April 2011. The PSNI believe there are witnesses who may hold the "key to vital evidence".

Police Ombudsman Launches Investigation After Fatal Road Death
The Police Ombudsman has launched an investigation over the actions of the PSNI after a woman was hit by a van and killed in Co Antrim. 19-year-old Shannon McQuilllan died after being struck by a vehicle on the Moneynick Road at about 3.45am on Saturday, 20 January.

Mark Ponisi Murder: Two People Charged
Two people have been charged in connection with the murder of a man in east Belfast. The body of Mark Ponisi was discovered in a property in the London road area at around 10am on Saturday, 20 January. A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman are to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 23 January.

Investigation Launched Following Suspected Hit And Run In East Belfast
An investigation has been launched following a suspected hit and run collision in east Belfast. A woman and a young girl were knocked down at a pedestrian crossing on the Newtownards Road at around 8pm on Wednesday, 10 January. The black car failed to stay at the scene and made off in the direction of Dundonald.

A man has been remanded in custody after pleading guilty to 20 offences of theft. The 22-year-old suspect appeared in court following a number of shoplifting offences across Ballymena and Antrim. Man Arrested Over Double Murder
A man has been arrested in England over a double murder in County Armagh in 2006. The 33-year-old was arrested on Wednesday in the Essex area. Thomas O'Hare, 33, and Lisa McClatchey, 21, were doused in petrol and set alight at their home in Tassagh in November 2006. The man is due to appear in Armagh Court on Friday.

Crushed Beer Kegs Discovered In Armagh
Police are appealing for information after over a tonne of crushed beer kegs were discovered in County Armagh. 61 kegs which were not crushed and 19 gas cylinders were also found during searches around Middletown. The kegs have been known to be sold for their scrap metal value. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.

An investigation has launched following a burglary at a house in Co Antrim. The break-in occurred in the Massereene Gardens area on Tuesday, 09 January. A number of items including cash, bank cards, jewellery, and electronic items were stolen.

Investigation Launched After Man Stabbed In Armagh
Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Armagh. The assault happened at a house in the Terraskane Road area just after 12.15am on Monday, 20 November. The victim, who was stabbed in the abdomen, was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Killed In County Armagh Road Crash
Police have issued appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in County Armagh. A man, aged in his 60s, has died after his car left the road and collided with a tree on the Bessbrook Road near Markethill on Thursday, 11 January. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no one else in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

The son of leading loyalist Johnny Adair has pleaded guilty to a number of drugs charges in England. Jonathon Adair, 19, appeared before Bolton Crown Court on Friday charged with conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Police have launched an investigation following two burglaries in Co Down. The PSNI believes that both burglaries in Holywood may be linked and have released a description of two males. In the first incident, a sum of cash was stolen as well as a safe, a PlayStation 4 with games and a clock.

Investigation Launched Following Aggravated Burglary In Co Armagh
Police have launched an investigation following an aggravated burglary in Tandragee, Co Armagh. The incident happened in the Market Street Court area on just before midnight on Thursday, 29 September. A gang of masked men, believed to have been armed with a baseball bat and hammers, caused damage to a house. They were all wearing dark clothes.
