Invent 2018 Innovation And Ideas Competition Launched

Catalyst Inc has announced their annual competition, Invent 2018, which aims to showcase and reward local innovation and proof of concept ideas that have the greatest commercial potential.

In 2017, the competition attracted a record-breaking 144 entries.

Applicants to this year’s Invent can put their ideas and projects forward for one of the six award categories:

• agri-science

• engineering

• life and health

• enterprise software

• electronics

• creative and consumer internet

The competition offer applicants an opportunity to share a prize fund of £33,000 and gain validation for their idea; valuable exposure; and access to a quality network of business experts and influencers.

The competition is open to anyone with an innovative idea, from students and postgrads through to executives with side projects or retired people with a solution. You do not have to have a company to apply.
