Armed Man Robs Shop In South Belfast

Police have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a shop in south Belfast.

A man, believed to have been armed with a handgun, entered the premises on the Lockview Road just before 10.15pm on tuesday, 30 January.

He made off with a sum of cash and a significant amount of cigarettes and scratch cards.

The suspect has been described as in his late 40s or early 50s and was wearing a grey top with a yellow hi-vis vest, black boots, faded blue jeans and a black beanie hat. His face was covered but It is believed he wore glasses with a thin frame.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police Appeal After Man Robs Shop In Belfast
An armed man robbed a shop in Belfast on Sunday morning. The man, armed with a hammer, threatened staff at the premises on the Belmont Road and demanded money shortly after 9.30am. He made off with a sum of cash. The man, believed to be around 20 years old, is described as 5’ 10” tall and he was wearing a black tracksuit and a black cap.

Police are appealing for information following three armed robberies in north and west Belfast on the evening of Tuesday 3 February. At about 19:55 it was reported that a man believed to be armed with a suspected firearm entered a convenience store on the Crumlin Road while another man stayed outside.

Police appeal for information following north Belfast robbery
Police in north Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery in a convenience store in the area last night. A masked man, believed to be armed with a handgun, entered the shop on the lower Antrim Road at around 9pm. He threatened staff before making off with the contents of a safe, which has been reported as being substantial.
