Appeal Issued On Tenth Anniversary Over Murder Of NI Man In Donegal

Gardai have issued an appeal for information on the tenth anniversary of the murder of Northern Ireland man Andrew Burns.

The 27-year-old was discovered on church grounds in Castlefin, Donegal, on 12 February.

He had been shot several times.

The murder was blamed on dissident republican group Óglaigh na hÉireann.

One man was convicted of his murder, however Gardai believe there were a number of people involved.

A garda spokesperson said: "An Garda Síochána are grateful for all the witnesses that have come forward and made statements however Gardaí believe that there are still people who have information which may assist with the investigation.

"Gardaí wish to appeal for anyone with information no matter how insignificant it may seem to come forward to assist with this investigation."
