Man Charged Over Abduction Of Teenage Girl

A man has been charged in connection with the abduction of a teenage girl from the Cookstown.

The girl is believed to have gone missing on Sunday, 11 February, and was in his company at the time.

She returned home on Monday, 12 February.

The man is due to appear before Omagh Magistrates' Court.

Prisoner Dies At Maghaberry
A prisoner has died in custody at Maghaberry jail. The Northern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS) said the 57-year-old man passed away on Thursday morning, 28 September. His next of kin have been informed and an investigation has been launched.

Police are appealing for information to help trace missing man Dwayne McKnight. Mr McKnight, 26, went missing from the Banbridge area in Co Down on Tuesday, 26 September. He has dark hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a red coloured t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Three Teenagers Arrested Over Co Antrim Murder
Police investigating the murder of Nelson Cheung in Co Antrim earlier this month have arrested a three teenage girls. Mr Cheung, 65, died after he was stabbed in an attack on the Caddy Road on 8 January. It is understood Mr Cheung and his wife were attacked after their car was forced off the road.

Elderly Man Robbed In Armagh
Police are investigating the robbery of an elderly man in Co Armagh yesterday. The incident took place shortly before 1pm in the Dobbin Street area of the town. A PSNI spokesperson said the 72-year-old man was approached by a woman and a teenage girl who distracted him and stole a substantial amount of money from his pocket.

Teenage girl dies in car accident
A teenage girl has died after a road traffic accident in County Down. The accident happened on the Katesbridge Road near Banbridge at about 8pm on Sunday February 17. Two cars were involved in the collision. Meanwhile two men are recovering from wounds to a leg after being attacked in Larne, County Antrim on Sunday February 17.

Teenage Girl And Man Tied Up
A teenage girl and a man have been tied up during a burglary at a property in Carnlough in County Antrim. Police are investigating the incident, in which two men broke into the Croft Avenue house at about midday on Wednesday. A 56-year-old man was punched in the face after being confronted in the hallyway of his home by the intruders.

Teenage girl raped in west Belfast
A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted in a forest park west Belfast, according to police. The victim, a 13-year-old girl was raped by the man in the Woodside Forest Park area of Poleglass over a week ago, however the details have just been released by police. A PSNI spokesperson said the attack took place around 10pm on Friday 27 April.

Man Charged With GBH Of Baby Girl
A man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm of a baby. The baby girl, understood to be the man's three-month-old daughter, was admitted to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday. She remains in a critical condition.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
