Man Dies Of Suspected Heart Attack At Walking Trail In Co Fermanagh

A man has died after he suffered a suspected heart attack at the Cuilcaigh Mountain trail boardwalk in Co Fermanagh.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Tuesday, 13 February, following a report that a man was suffering from chest pains.

The North West Mountain Rescue Team (NWMRT) were also alerted to the scene.

A spokesperson from NWRMT said: "HM Coastguard had already been informed of situation and Heli R 199 had been tasked and was on route.
"The casualty's friends started CPR until Ambulance crew arrived who then took over and continued CPR for 45 mins, before the casualty was pronounced deceased.

"NWMRT then helped with the extraction off the mountain and we would like to offer our condolences and sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased."

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. 22-Year-Old Man Jailed For Rape At Laganside Crown Court
A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to six years for rape at Laganside Crown Court. Ahmad Alsbaihi was sentenced to six years. He will serve three years in custody and three years on licence. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for 10 years.

Appeal Following Stabbing Incident In Downpatrick
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a stabbing incident in Downpatrick. Police received a report shortly after 6pm on Saturday, 17th February that a man had been stabbed on a pathway in the St Dympnas Avenue area of the town.

Two men arrested following pensioner robbery
Two men have been arrested in connection to the robbery of a pensioner's home in Co Down yesterday. The 93-year-old man suffered cuts to his ear and an arm injury when he confronted two men who had climbed through a bedroom window at his Hillsborough home at around 8.45am on Tuesday. The robbers escaped with a sum of money.
