Fourth Victim Of Derrylin House Fire Discovered

Police investigating a fatal house fire in Derrylin, Co Fermanagh, have discovered the body of a child.

The discovery brings to four the number of people known to have died following the blaze at a family home on Molly Road on Tuesday 27 February. The others who died, all members of the same family, include Crystal Gossett, her son Edward (16) and her daughter Diane (19).

A 27-year-old man arrested in connection with the fire has been taken back into police custody after receiving treatment in hospital.

It is understood that the police investigation into the fire has been hindered by the current severe weather.

Police have renewed their appeal for anyone travelling through Derrylin between midnight and 7:20am on Tuesday to contact them.
