Investigation Launched After Man Stabbed In Craigavon

Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Craigavon.

The attack happened in the Tullygally East Road area on Sunday, 11 March.

The victim sustained stab wounds to his hands and leg.

Two men were arrested, however police believe they were not involved.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "We believe the attack occurred somewhere between Drumlin Drive on the Old Portadown Road, and Roundabout 1. If you saw a disturbance anywhere in that area late Sunday night into Monday morning, we need to hear from you. We believe that two heavy set males were involved, one of whom was bald, the other had ginger hair and a ginger beard. Both are described as being between 40-50 years old."

Man Jailed For 10 years For Murder Of Richard Miskelly
A man has been sentenced to a minimum of 10 years in jail for the murder of Richard Miskelly in February 2017. Mr Miskelly died of blunt force trauma to the head in an altercation outside a house on the Bangor Road in Newtownards in the early hours of Sunday, 26 February last year. He was 24 when he died.

Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter Of Body Discovered In Garage
A 36-year-old Lithuanian man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a fellow Lithuanian, whose body was discovered in a garage in County Tyrone almost three years ago. The body of 32-year-old Gediminas Stauskas was found in a garage at Moor Road, near Coalisland on 15 October, 2015.

16-Year-Old Girl Suffers Severe Facial Injuries During Attack In Bangor
Three teenagers have been charged in connection with a serious assault of a 16-year-old girl in Bangor, County Down. The assault occurred at about 7.30pm on Friday, 20 April. A video of the attack was posted to Facebook and shows the teenage victim being punched and kicked by a number of attackers, both male and female.

Two Injured In Weekend Stabbing
Two men have been injured in separate stabbing incidents at the weekend. In the first incident, a 27-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach in Cooke Street in the Ormeau Road area around 5:45am on Sunday. He is being treated in Belfast City Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.

A 56-year-old woman has been targeted in an armed robbery in her home in Tandragee. Around five masked men broke into the woman's house on the Clare Road at around 9.45pm, and entered her bedroom before threatening her with a gun.

Man and child die in separate road accidents
A man and child have died in separate road accidents yesterday. The man died after the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a lorry on the Tandragee Road, Newry. The motorcyclist, who was riding a Honda motorcycle, suffered serious injuries in the collision, which occurred around 7.30pm.

14-Year-Old Boy Sustains Head Injuries In Suspected Sectarian Attack
Police are investigating a suspected sectarian attack on a 14-year-old boy in north Belfast. According to reports, the teenager was beaten with sticks by a group of three youths during more than an hour of disturbances close the North Queen Street interface on Saturday, 24 March. It is understood that a "crowd of people" watched the attack.
