Five Men Charged Over Gun Attack In Newry
Five men have been charged in connection with a gun attack in Newry.
Shots were fired at a house in the Altmore Gardens area shortly before 9.30pm on Monday, 26 March.
Damage was caused to the front window of the house, however no-one was injured.
The five suspects have been charged with a number of offences including aiding and abetting, possession of firearm in suspicious circumstances, possession of an offensive weapon, and obstructing police and assisting offenders.
They are due to appear before Newry Magistrates Court today, Wednesday, 28 March.

PSNI Investigates Arson Attack In L'Derry
The PSNI have launched an investigation into an arson attack in L'Derry on Monday, 11 March. At around 11.30pm last night, it was reported to police that two vehicles were on fire in the Grainan Drive area. Police and NIFRS attended the scene. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Two other vehicles were also damaged as a result of the fire.

A Sexual Offences Legal Advisers (SOLA) pilot scheme is to be extended until March 2025, Justice Minister Naomi Long has announced. First introduced in April 2021, the SOLA scheme provides free, independent legal advice and advocacy to adult complainants in serious sexual offence cases, up to the point of trial.
