Carl Frampton Claims WBO Interim Featherweight Belt

Carl Frampton has claimed the WBO interim featherweight belt by beating former four-weight world champion Nonito Donaire in a unanimous points victory.

Frampton, who is said to have dominated the fight from the second round, won 117-111 on all cards.

The victory could see Frampton one step closer to his dream of staging a large scale outdoor world title fight at Belfast's Windsor Park.

Carl Frampton To Fight In Belfast In November
Belfast boxer Carl Frampton has confirmed that his first contest with new promoter Frank Warren will take place in Belfast in November. Frampton will face an unconfirmed opponent at the SSE Arena on 18 November. Belfast's Jamie Conlan will challenge Jerwin Ancajas of the Philippines for the IBF world super-flyweight belt on the same bill.
