Drug Mule Michaella McCollum Gives Birth To Twins

Drug mule Michaella McCollum has given birth to twins.

She revealed the news via a social media post on Tuesday, 15 May.

McCollum posted a video on Instagram with her two newborns with the caption: "My little darlings, 1 week today (sic)."

It is not yet known who the father is.

McCollum and Scottish woman Melissa Reid were arrested after attempting to smuggle cocaine worth £1.5 million out of Peru in 2013.

They were jailed for over six years, however they were released after making a deal with Peruvian authorities.

Three people have been charged after police discovered a cannabis factory in the Castlereagh area of east Belfast. The discovery was made at commercial premises on Tuesday, 05 December, during a planned operation by detectives from the PSNI's Criminal Investigation Branch and officers from Immigration Enforcement.

Call For Threats In West Belfast To Be Lifted Immediately
A shot has been fired at a house in west Belfast in a "case of mistaken identity". Sinn Fein MLA Paul Maskey confirmed a list is circulating in the area warning a number of people they would be targeted by dissidents. He said the threats are "about extorting cash from criminals and drug dealers" and called for them to be "lifted immediately".

'Deadly Stash' Of Drugs Discovered In Lurgan Graveyard
Police have discovered a "deadly stash" of drugs in the graveyard of St Coleman's Cemetery in Lurgan. Posting to the PSNI Craigavon Facebook page, police said: "You hear the line in films, "We'll go where the investigation leads us", and that is as true in real life as it is on the screen.

Les Kiss Leaves Post As Director Of Rugby
Les Kiss is to leave his post as Director of Rugby with immediate effect, Ulster Rugby has confirmed. Head Coach Jono Gibbs will assume responsibility for all coaching matters and will lead the current coaching team of Dwayne Peel, Aaron Dundon and Niall Malone. A review will be carried out to ascertain if additional coaching expertise is required.

'Missing' Tyrone Woman On Peru Drug Charges
A video has been released of two women currently accused of smuggling over £1.5m of cocaine in Peru. The country's police force has released footage recorded shortly after 20-year-old Michaella McCollum Connolly, from Dungannon in County Tyrone, and 19-year-old Melissa Reid, from Lenzi near Glasgow, were arrested in Lima.

Man Arrested In Connection With Large Drug Seizure
A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a large drug seizure in south Belfast. Specialist officers from the Belfast District Support Team seized suspected amphetamine base, thousands of tablets and suspected cocaine at an address off the Ravenhill Road on Thursday, 05 April. Call For UVF To Withdraw Threats Made To Catholic Families

Michaella McCollum Arrives In Ireland
Convicted drug smuggler Michaella McCollum from Co Tyrone has returned to Ireland. The 23-year-old from Dungannon and Melissa Reid from Scotland were arrested in Peru after being caught with £1.5 million worth of cocaine at Lima Airport in August 2013. McCollum was released on parole in March after serving less than half of her sentence.
