Two teenagers die in separate road accidents

Police are appealing for witnesses following the deaths of two teenagers in separate road accidents on Sunday.

In the first incident a 19-year-old girl died when the car she was travelling in collided with another vehicle in Moneyslane, near Banbridge at around 3am.

In the second incident, a 15-year-old teenager died when the car he was in hit a tree in Rosslay, on the main Lisnaskea to Monaghan Road at around 4am.

Three other people were injured in the crash however their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Two die in separate road accidents
Two people have died in separate road accidents in Counties Londonderry and Down. In the latest accident, a man died following a road traffic accident in Ballynahinch on Wednesday. The accident occurred on the Crossgar Road at around 10.30am. Only one vehicle is believed to have been involved. The victim's name has yet to be released.

Two car thieves with more than 150 convictions between them have each been jailed for two years - although that fate seems less dramatic than that of other so-called 'joyriders', several of whom have been killed.
