Johnny Adair's son jailed over drugs charges

The son of former UDA leader, Johnny Adair has been sentenced to five years in a young offenders' institution after being found guilty on drugs dealing charges.

Jonathan Adair, 19, who current resides in Horwich, Greater Manchester admitted at Bolton Crown Court in February to conspiring to supply class A drugs.

Ben Dowie, 22, and William Truesdale, 40, of Chorley New Road in Horwich, also pleaded guilty to drugs charges.

They were sentenced to five and four years in prison respectively.

Adair was arrested by police after he tried to sell heroin and crack cocaine to undercover police officers in Bolton last year.

His home was later raided by officers who found a crossbow, body armour, a drug dealer's debtors list and more than £1,000 cash.

Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Ballycastle Supermarket
An investigation has been launched following the armed robbery of a supermarket in Ballycastle on Tuesday, 09 April. It was reported to police, that at around 11pm a masked man entered the Castle Street store carrying a spray bottle of an unknown substance. The man approached a cashier and demanded money, threatening them with the spray bottle.
