Men treated for shock after south Belfast robbery

Two men have been treated for shock after being kidnapped during a robbery in south Belfast today.

Almost £10,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen during the incident shortly before lunchtime when the men were bundled into the back of a van in University Street as they made a delivery to a hotel.

The men were then driven for an hour before being dropped at Upper Hightown Road in the north of the city.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

The PSNI responded to a report of two men trying to force entry into a house on Ireton Street just before 4am on Monday, 01 May. A number of items were recovered and have been removed for further examination during a follow-up search.

Man Attacked During Aggravated Burglary In South Belfast
A number of masked men attacked a 24-year-old man during an aggravated burglary in south Belfast. The assault happened at a property in the Malfin Drive area at around 10.10pm on Wednesday, 07 September. One man has been arrested and is being questioned at Musgrave Police Station. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Masked Men Steal Cash And Car From Pensioners Home In South Belfast
Three masked men entered a pensioners home in south Belfast and stole cash and a car. The incident occurred in the Ailesbury Drive area on Wednesday night. At around 10.30pm, a man answered the door of his home and three masked men entered and demanded money. They made off with a sum of money and also stole their silver Toyota Avensis.

Couple held hostage in south Belfast robbery
A couple have been tied up and robbed by an armed gang at their south Belfast home. Three masked men entered the house at Windsor Avenue North at around 10.30am on Monday night armed with handguns. Once inside they demanded money from the couple who were held inside the house throughout the night whilst the gang ransacked the home.
