Staff robbed by armed men

Staff at a sports shop in south Belfast have been robbed by two men, one armed with a hand gun and the other a stun gun.

The robbers tied up three members of staff in an upstairs office of the premises on the Boucher Road.

The men escaped with an undisclosed sum of money from a safe.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Elsewhere, armed robbers have made off with a substantial quantity of cigarettes following a robbery of a retail warehouse in north Belfast on Friday.

Four masked robbers entered the Harbour Estate late on Friday evening and forced the staff at gunpoint to open the warehouse.

The four men forced staff to load a vehicle, marked Centra/Supervalu which police said was later found abandoned in the Carryduff area.
