Police appeal for information on missing persons

Police have re-appealed for information on the whereabouts of missing Larne man Ian Black.

Mr Black, 38, has not been seen since he left work on the Shore Road area of Newtownabbey at around 7pm on Tuesday evening.

The following day, his blue coloured Ford Focus type car was found abandoned close to a forest in the Shaneshill Road in Larne.

Mr Black is described as being around 5'4 in height, of stocky build, with short dark hair and a swarthy complexion.

He is believed to have been wearing his work uniform of grey trousers, a white shirt and black shoes.

This behaviour is extremely out of character for Mr Black, and anyone who may know of his whereabouts, are asked to contact detectives.

Meanwhile, police and the family of 13-year-old Rebecca Crockett, are becoming increasingly worried about her welfare after she disappeared on Saturday August 12.

Rebecca was last seen at an address on the Donegal Pass area of South Belfast at around 4pm, and has not been seen since.

She is described as being around 5 feet tall, of slim build, with long fair hair with blonde highlights, and blue eyes, and is thought to be wearing a peach zip up jacket, blue jeans and trainers.

Anyone who may have seen Rebecca or who may have any information on her whereabouts should contact detectives on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
