Cocaine seized in Belfast

Police in south Belfast have seized a quantity of cocaine during a planned search operation yesterday evening.

Approximately £8,000 worth of the drug was recovered during the search of a premises in the Upper Lisburn Road area of the city shortly after 8pm.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said that further investigations into the seizure would take place.

Man arrested after drugs find
Police seized a large quantity of Class A drugs, following a planned search at a premises in south Belfast yesterday. An amount of suspected Ecstasy and cocaine, with an estimated street value of £120,000, was recovered during the raid. A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged with possession of Class A drugs, with intent to supply.

Man arrested over Belfast cannabis find
Following a planned search operation in south Belfast yesterday, officers seized around 14 cannabis plants and a quantity of paraphernalia associated with drugs. One man was arrested following the raid at the property in the Stranmillis Wharf area of the city, however was later released pending a report.

Counterfeit DVDs found during police searches
Police in north Belfast have recovered a number of counterfeit goods following a search yesterday morning. It is understood that officers seized around 2,500 counterfeit DVDs during a raid in a house in the Glencairn area of the city. A police spokesman said that that the DVDs would have an estimated street value of around £50,000.
